Mentre tornavamo da un pranzo e papà si doveva sorbire forzatamente la bellissima sessione di Steve Pitron “WE Formula 2” del WE party di Londra, è capitata una traccia che aveva anche del testo, e papà mi ha chiesto il significato di quelle parole. Gli ho detto che quella traccia mi piaceva moltissimo per la melodia, il ritmo, e che spesso in queste tracce il testo è abbastanza…. poco profondo.
“D’altra parte ” – gli dissi – ” Beethoven ” cosa significa ? Cosa ti insegna ? E’ musica, e ciascuno di noi la reinterpreta e la associa a momenti, oppure gli dà delle sensazioni.
La traccia in assoluto più ascoltata dell’anno (e che ho avuto il grande piacere di ballare a Ibiza, nelle primissime delle 15 ore di musica della chiusura Matinée all’Amnesia), è di Gotye – “Somebody I used to know”. Purtroppo, probabilmente per il mio udito , non riesco a comprendere bene delle parole se c’è un sottofondo musicale, e raramente riesco a capire il testo delle canzoni, se in lingua inglese.
Questa è una canzone che, come da definizione, parla d’amore, e come per tutte le canzoni d’amore, ciascuno di noi può ritrovarsi in essa, almeno per un avvenimento della vita. E io sono stra questi.
